What is Thai Yoga Massage?

Thai Yoga Massage is an interactive form of bodywork that combines assisted yoga postures (asanas), acupressure, rhythmic compressions, joint mobilization, and breath awareness.

Traditional Thai massage works along the body's energy pathways, known as sen lines. Assisted yoga postures and supported movement are incorporated into the work, using my hands, feet, arms, and knees to provide stretching, compressions, and movement.

The work may move through several positions, including face up, face down, side-lying, and seated.

My yoga training and personal practice also inform how I approach this work, particularly my understanding of movement, breath, and adapting postures to the individual.

What does a Thai Yoga Massage look and feel like?

Thai Yoga Massage sessions are fully clothed, so loose, comfortable, non-restrictive clothing is recommended.

As with any session, we begin with a verbal intake and review of your health history and current needs. Sessions may take place on a traditional Thai massage mat or an adjustable treatment table.
